[MGSA-L] Center for Hellenic Studies (Greece), Harvard University – Events Series 2018

Events Series

An integral part of the Center’s outreach is the annual Events Series. The Events Series, one of the longest-running CHS GR activities, addresses the local community of the Argolis region and Greece in general, through a series of lectures, as well as exhibitions, performances and presentations. The Events Series initiative has become a point of reference for the cultural life of the local community through the years.

The Events Series 2018 is devoted to “Leadership and Humanism.” It seeks to raise questions about the role of leaderships and leaders in the need of people to prosper as physical, mental and moral entities. Distinguished speakers, intellectual personalities and scientists from Greek and foreign universities, will analyze aspects of this phenomenon aiming to educate the general public.

This year’s circle has a special, anniversary character, because it coincides with the completion of ten years since the Center’s inception in Greece. The Events Series 2018 includes 7 lectures that begin on December 20, 2017 and continue through June 2018. Four lectures take place in Nafplio, one in Athens, one in Thessaloniki and one in Patras.

The program of the Events Series is usually announced in November, and the events’ annual cycle ends in June.
